Transfer isn't adhering to garment. What could be causing this?

图片
It is likely that the material needs more pressure or heat applied during the application process. Adjusting these settings may solve this problem; double check the manufacturer’s recommendation for time, temperature and pressure. Another possibility is that the garment wasn't adequately prepped. Most garments have detergents or softening agents in them for wearability that can affect the adhesion of the heat transfer. We recommend “pre-heating” the garment by pressing it with the heat press before applying the heat transfer. This should neutralize any detergents or softening agents in the fabric for better adhesion. www.itransferpaper.com Email:vision@itransferpapper.com Tel:86-2164950453

Direct Dye Sublimation OR Dye Sublimation Transfer

图片
There are two distinct fabric printing methods referred to “dye sublimation.” Each process has distinct characteristics with distinctly different results. Here’s the side-by-side comparison: “DIRECT” DYE SUBLIMATION     VS    DYE SUBLIMATION “TRANSFER” Direct prints directly to a receiving fabric Transfer prints first onto a transfer paper sheet One step to fabric, then heat Two steps to fabric, paper first, then fabric Crisp line detail not as sharp risp line detail is sharp, due to paper sheet Requires use of special pre-coated fabrics Good for textural and smooth finish fabrics Limited selection, not knits nor meshes Broader selection, knits and meshes included Dot gain, some spread Dot gain minimal; prints on paper first Resolution quality not as fine Great resolution, prints to paper first Inherently dries duller by comparison Great color quality, colors pop Lower costs due to single layer step Higher cost slightly, more labor &

Sublimation transfer paper-Vision Digital Printing Co,.Ltd

图片
Vision Digital Printing Co,. Ltd, as a manufacturer of sublimation transfer paper in China for more than 10 years. has devoted itself in making sublimation transfer paper with high quality as our customers all over the world requested. Recently, we got some feedbacks from customers that the sublimation paper they bought from other suppliers has a lot of problems. Although it is a little bit cheaper than ours. And here is our answers to them why our sublimation paper can not be the cheapest one in the market. First, we have our own paper factory, so we can have a strict inspection on the base paper we use to manufacture the sublimation paper. If there is some dust or stains on the base paper, it will lower the transfer yield. And it could be worse, that will make the print where there is some stains can not be transfer onto the fabric. But a lot of customers did not realize this until the transfer process is being done and they saw some black spot on the base paper. Seco

How to Apply Transfers to Light color Towels

图片
For transferring onto towels and very wide weave fabrics, use a transfer that is capable of transferring with a hand-iron, but apply it with a heat press. Such transfers generally have a thicker coating and will adhere to the long fiber loops of a towel. In general, try to select towels that have shorter loops. Light Colors To transfer onto white/light colored towels, use an inkjet or laser iron-on transfer paper and apply with a heat press. 1. Place the towel to be printed on the lower platen. 2. Place the trimmed transfer paper image-side-down on the towel. 3. To protect the towel from discoloration from the heat, place another towel over the entire platen area. This protection towel can be reused repeatedly to protect the other towels you will be printing. I prefer to use a towel (instead of Teflon or Parchment) because of the texture which assists to press the transfer into the long fibers. 4. Follow the heat pressing (temperature and time) and peeling (cold or

Is it possible to sublimate on nylon?

图片
While it is possible to sublimate nylon at low temperatures, there are many types of nylon and they react differently to dyes. There are some nylon fabrics that are pre-treated with additives to help with dye absorption, and the ones most commonly used in textiles are nylon 6. People think differently regarding the sublimation for nylon. Some claim that nylon will take on a vintage print not that pretty, while some say that it can be even more vibrant than polyester. Some say that dye retention is great after washing while others say it can be easily washed out. However, there is a tendency for the dye to oxidize in the sunlight, which will fade over time. So why nylon instead of polyester? It all comes down to what the fabric is gonna be used for. As to performance, polyester has better moisture wicking properties and pilling resistance (nylon absorbs more water, keep wet for a long time, and will block breathability). The great thing about nylon is that it lasts longer (wh

The best sticky sublimation transfer paper - Vision Digital Printing Co. Ltd. We all know that the transfer paper sticky sticky sublimation is mainly used in elastic fabric for sportswear likes basketball Jersey, football shirt, and running back Jersey, etc. And the well-known fact is that the fabric used to make sportswear should be very elastic so that athletes can move and stretch easier and more comfortable. For them this is good news, but for us in the business of sublimation, which is a headache. Because when we transfer the image in stretch fabrics, it will move during the process of heat transfer, and make ghosting on the web . And why the role of sticky sublimation Vision Digital Printing Co. Ltd is the best professional responses then our production manager shown. The base paper and the coating is used for paper making. Sublimation is the best, and that makes the surface of paper smooth, which can reduce ink consumption and given a high transfer performance. Like

Sublimation Trend : Sublimated Fashion Apparels

图片
With the increasing popularity of sublimation transfer paper, there is a tendency that us ing  sublimation transfer paper and dye sublimation ink for digital fabric printing  will be extremely hot . D igital printing technology has advanced tremendously, making lab s in factories possible. The new printers offer an alternative to traditional screen printing, which can be a costly process. This speed and creative process  wasn’t always available to fashion designers. But with technological advances in digital fabric printing, designers are now able to take their own designs and turn them into custom textiles. It was said that it’s very important for me to be able to render what I want to create as a trend. So, when I create a watercolor, for example, I’m able to scan it into the printer. I can design it and tweak it, and with the digital printer it can be color reduced and printed like a photograph, so it gets that realism and depth of design you can’t make it happen with other met

Does humidity affect sublimation?

图片
If moisture presents in either the substrate or the transfer paper it can have an adverse effect on the sublimation process. Common problems include color shifting (where colors lose accuracy), bleeding of the image, and uneven transfer of solid filled areas of a design. The first step in minimizing the effects of humidity is to always store your transfer paper in a dry place. If dealing with poly-performance apparel you can pre-press the shirt for about five seconds if you suspect there may be moisture in the fabric. For other substrates, you can “warm” them on the heat  press without closing it. However, an environment that is too dry isn't any good either as it can cause print head nozzle loss issues. For best results, check the recommended ranges of humidity for your equipment, then purchase a hygrometer to measure your environment. If adjustments are needed, you can purchase either a humidifier or de-humidifer. Vision, specialized in providing professional solution o

Pros and Cons of Dye Sub Printers

图片
You can buy a   printer  with photo-quality output for half of what a comparable dye sub printer costs at the consumer level. For one   thing, dye sub printers are much  more expensive th a n comparable inkjet printers. On the professional level, the gap is much closer, but they can still be as much as a thousand dollars more expensive.  Dye sublimation printers also only do one thing well: photo - quality  and  full - color images. They are neither practical for document printing nor are they as fast as inkjet printers. A dye sub printer takes about a minute to produce a print regardless of whether it's a full - color photo or a page of typed text because it still has to print each pixel thermally. An inkjet printer will only print the areas that need to be printed, so it can produce a full page of typed text in seconds. On the other hand, to produce a photographic quality print, an inkjet printer can take up to 10 minutes.  Inkjet printers are more versatile, and since most p

Vision Newly developed 45gsm Dye Sublimation Paper

图片
VISION , a professional manufacturer of sublimation paper, ( www.itransferpaper.com ) has recently R&D a new type of Dye Sublimation Paper with weight of 45gsm. This low weight Sublimation paper is of thinner coatings on the surface than that of the normal ones. Below are some of the major features of this 45gsm Sublimation paper. 1, Ink. Generally speaking the ink we use might be determined by the print head in some degree. Different print head may require different inks. The new 45gsm Sublimation paper is suitable for Sublimation ink with high density, and is compatible with the ordinary ones at the same time. Both type of inks can achieve excellent printings. 2, Pattern of printing Floral printing or light color printing is thought to be the most ideal pattern of printing that can be printed on 45gsm Sublimation paper VISION offers, that is because such a thin paper under heavy load of inks might contribute to bad printing results, and even damage the print head

How to Avoid Blotchy Results Occurred in Sublimation Process

图片
B lotches and spots in your transfers can happen   at any time  and anywhere . T his is a problem generally caused by excess moisture in the environment or on the substrat e. Left : Perfect transfer result.  Right : Blotches and spots in a poor paper Common   sublimation materials like polyester fabric, hardboard, plastic and even metal materials like aluminum and stainless steel can  be sublimated, and w hat happens when there is moisture on a substrate? When water is heated ,  it turns into steam vapor which starts to escape upward , however, since dye-sublimation ink also turns into a gas, the steam vapor from the areas that have even the smallest amounts of moisture clash with the sublimation gas which will  prevent a full and consistent transfer . So how to resolve this blotchy results ? The quick solution is to pre-press substrates immediately before applying & heat pressing the sublimation transfer. Pre-pressing is done by placing the item in the heat press, coverin

Facts on Sublimation Printing

图片
Sublimation printing uses a heat sensitive sublimation dye to print graphics on a suitable surface. The sublimation dye is dissolved in a liquid in order to be used in a special inkjet paper, known as a dye sub transfer. A heat press is then used on the dye sub transfer and the suitable printing surface in order to print graphics and text. At this point the image has been transferred onto the surface. The image has become a part of the surface and cannot be felt by touching the surface of the sublimatable item. Sublimatable Surfaces Sublimation is always performed on a polyester, polymer or polymer-coated item. The sublimation dye penetrates the fibers, integrating itself into the fabric. These types of materials contain pores, which allow for the sublimation dye to enter the materials. The high temperature of the heat press converts the solid dyes directly into gas. The heat press is hot enough to do this without the solid dyes ever becoming liquid. Natural Fibers and No

Why sublimation paper get curl ? How we solve the curling problem ?

图片
First of all , you should know why sublimation paper get curl ?  Sublimation paper is a coated paper, made up with two important parts : The base paper, and the sublimation coating. Both the two parts contains moisture. When you put the sublimation paper in a environment of dry air and high temperature , the moisture will evaporate. At this time, if the moisture of the base paper and the moisture of the coating evaporate inconsistently, the paper curls.  The process of the moisture evaporation, we call it “scalability”.  How to solve the curling problem ?  1.We use high quality sublimation base paper. Our  premium sublimation paper  adopts the premium sublimation base paper ( not offset paper). This type of base paper is made up of nature wood pulp (softwood and hardwood), the fiber is longer , and the flexibility of the fiber is better than the offset paper. So the performance and the scalability is better. A better performance and scalability helps to reduce potential to

58gsm Sublimation Transfer Paper—Game Changer for Sublimation Printing Business

图片
Vision Digital Printing Co,. Ltd , a s a manufacturer of sublimation transfer paper in China  for more than 10 years . has devoted itself in making lighter sublimation transfer paper as our customers all over the world requested. Now with the emerge if high speed printer like MS-JP4, Reggiani ReNOIR, DGI Textile printers, and Ampla New Targa XT AQUATEX, more and more customers needs lighter sublimation paper. And that is where our 58gsm sublimation transfer paper comes into play due to the below advantages: First, it consumes less ink than 100gsm and 90gsm for the same desired printing result, and the ink that works with high speed printers must be the best one in order to the protect the print head that is everything for a high speed printer. The best ink like Kiian, J-teck, etc , are very expensive, so less ink being consumed by paper means lower cost. Second, since the paper is much lighter than the 100gsm and 90gsm, we can manufacture them from 500mtrs per up
